Accessibility statement

Last updated: May 2025

CareerBrae CIC is committed to ensuring our digital service is accessible to all users, regardless of disability or the device they use to access it. We want everyone who uses CareerBrae to be able to get the support they need.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conforming to those guidelines helps us make CareerBrae more accessible to people who are:

  • Blind or have low vision
  • Deaf or hard of hearing
  • Have motor or mobility difficulties
  • Have cognitive or learning disabilities
  • Using older browsers or low-bandwidth connections

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible. We are actively working to fix these issues. Currently:

  • All pages use semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy
  • All images have descriptive alternative text
  • Forms have properly associated labels
  • Colour contrast meets AA standards throughout
  • The site is fully navigable by keyboard
  • Focus indicators are visible on all interactive elements
  • The site works with screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver

Known accessibility issues

We are aware of the following issues that we are working to resolve:

  • Some complex data tables in the partner portal do not yet include full ARIA markup
  • The PDF export of session reports is not yet screen-reader compatible
  • Some animated elements cannot currently be paused (we are adding a reduce-motion preference)

If you experience any accessibility barrier on CareerBrae, or if you find a page that does not meet WCAG 2.1 AA, please contact us so we can fix it:

We will acknowledge your message within 2 working days and aim to resolve issues within 14 days.
