Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2025

CareerBrae CIC (“CareerBrae”, “we”, “us”) provides employment support services to unemployed people across the UK. By using our platform you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the service

The CareerBrae platform is provided free of charge to eligible participants. You must provide accurate information and use the service in good faith. Eligibility is determined by your caseworker based on Scottish employability programme criteria.

2. Data processing

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. We act as data controller and will not share your data with third parties without your consent, except where required by law or necessary to deliver the service (e.g., public funders outcome reporting).

3. AI-assisted tools

CareerBrae uses artificial intelligence to assist caseworkers with session note drafting and job matching. Use of these tools requires your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time. AI-generated content is always reviewed by a human caseworker before use.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the platform to submit false information, harass other users, or circumvent our security measures. We reserve the right to suspend access for violations of these terms.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the CareerBrae platform, including software, text, graphics, and logos, is the property of CareerBrae CIC or its licensors. You may not reproduce or distribute it without written permission.

6. Limitation of liability

CareerBrae is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that use of our service will result in employment. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform beyond what is required by applicable law.
