Norwich City Council is recruiting an Enforcement Planner at Career Grade to join the Planning team. You'll help protect the city's development standards by investigating unauthorised works, advising stakeholders, and ensuring planning conditions are met. What you’ll do
- Investigate alleged planning breaches and determine appropriate enforcement responses
- Advise the public, council colleagues, and elected members on planning compliance matters
- Monitor adherence to planning permissions and Section 106 legal agreements
- Prepare detailed reports, witness statements, and supporting evidence for planning appeals
- Contribute to maintaining planning integrity across Norwich's development
Eligibility
- Early-career planners or those with existing planning experience
- Strong understanding of planning legislation and enforcement procedures
- Able to communicate clearly with diverse audiences including the public and councillors
- Capable of preparing thorough documentation for regulatory and appeal processes
