Hampshire Scientific Service is a partnership between Hampshire County Council and the local constabulary delivering forensic science support for public health protection and enforcement. You'll join the toxicology team in a hands-on laboratory role, handling biological samples and chemical analysis to support forensic investigations.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and analyse biological samples using laboratory techniques
- Verify submission paperwork for accuracy and completeness
- Assess physical samples upon receipt
- Maintain confidentiality and careful record-keeping throughout processes
- Work collaboratively within the forensic team
Eligibility
- Chemistry degree or relevant laboratory experience preferred
- Comfortable handling biological fluids and chemicals in a laboratory setting
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable communicator with confidentiality awareness
- Team player with methodical, consistent working approach
