The Civil Aviation Authority is the UK's independent regulator for aviation and aerospace, setting safety standards across the industry. You'll join the Safety Operations Policy Team as a Medical Policy Associate, working under the Medical Policy Lead to develop aeromedical certification guidance and manage medical safety policy.
What you’ll do
- Create and maintain policy documents and guidance for aeromedical certification processes
- Communicate medical policy requirements and advice to teams within the CAA and external aviation organisations
- Support the operation of the medical regulatory safety management system
- Contribute to risk assessments and proportionate safety frameworks across aviation sectors
- Help ensure compliance with evidence-based regulatory standards in aeromedical matters
Eligibility
- Strong understanding of regulatory policy development or medical/aviation safety frameworks
- Ability to communicate complex medical and regulatory information clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience working in policy, compliance, or safety management preferred
- Attention to detail and capability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships
