Slaughter and May is a major law firm offering a structured two-year training contract. You'll rotate through different practice areas, working closely with partners and senior lawyers who mentor you and involve you in real client work from the start.
What you’ll do
- Complete rotations ('seats') across multiple practice areas, including mandatory time in Corporate, M&A and Financing
- Work directly on partner and associate-led matters, gaining hands-on legal experience
- Take on increasing responsibility and contribute meaningfully to client advisory work
- Undertake contentious (dispute-focused) experience during your training period
- Develop expertise in specialist areas such as litigation and investigation
Eligibility
- Eligible for a two-year training contract leading to qualification as a solicitor
- Able to commit to rotation across different departments and practice groups
- Expected to gain exposure to contentious and non-contentious work
- Willing to work in a mentoring environment with active support from partners and senior staff
