D. E. Shaw group is a global investment and technology firm seeking engineering interns to support the design and management of its technology infrastructure. Over a 12-week summer programme (June–August 2027), you'll work on a range of systems engineering projects spanning infrastructure, security, and software development alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to software development and infrastructure projects, including Linux/Windows management, database work, DevOps, and information security initiatives
- Develop full-stack web applications and tools to identify software vulnerabilities
- Help administer infrastructure systems and identify operational efficiency improvements
- Work on specific assignments such as operating system upgrade automation, large-scale infrastructure optimisation, and security monitoring systems
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in a degree programme in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Demonstrated computer science foundation through past internships, personal projects, or open-source contributions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity
- Solid collaboration, communication, and time management skills
