Well Pharmacy is seeking a Junior Buyer for its Generics Purchasing team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. This role offers a solid introduction to pharmaceutical buying, blending supplier relationship management with commercial strategy in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
What you’ll do
- Manage relationships with generic pharmaceutical suppliers and negotiate commercial terms
- Monitor stock levels, place purchase orders and ensure product availability across the range
- Identify slow-moving and underperforming products; work with internal teams to optimise sales and reduce excess inventory
- Support the delivery of competitive pricing and strong financial performance for the purchasing function
Eligibility
- Background in purchasing, supply chain or buying (or recent graduate willing to learn on the job)
- Commercial mindset with ability to balance cost control and service levels
- Organised and capable of managing multiple supplier relationships and stock-related priorities
