Food Centre Wales, a Welsh Government-backed initiative, is recruiting a Food Technician for a fixed-term placement. This role offers hands-on experience in food and drink manufacturing, combining practical work with structured knowledge transfer and mentoring from experienced technical staff. You'll develop real operational skills whilst contributing to diverse projects across the sector.
What you’ll do
- Support food and drink production operations across multiple technical areas
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities and practical training initiatives
- Work on varied projects within the food manufacturing environment
- Contribute to team activities whilst demonstrating independent capability
- Engage with mentoring and personal development opportunities during the placement
Eligibility
- Basic understanding of production processes and manufacturing methods
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Motivated to develop practical skills in food manufacturing
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as required for this role
- Available for a fixed-term industrial or student placement
