The Berkshire, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a conservation organisation dedicated to restoring wildlife across the region. This internship offers hands-on experience within the Ecology Team, combining data management, fieldwork and conservation support across their nature reserves.
What you’ll do
- Enter and manage survey data collected from BBOWT reserves, ensuring accuracy and organisation
- Support analysis of ecological survey data and contribute to report preparation
- Undertake basic ecological survey work on reserves following the annual survey plan
- Assist more experienced team members with skilled survey activities
- Provide administrative support including data logging, filing, scanning and proofreading
Eligibility
- Able to identify common UK wildlife species
- Practical knowledge of ecological survey methods
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Genuine interest in conservation and British wildlife
- Collaborative approach to working with the team, public and volunteers
- Subject to basic DBS check
