This undergraduate industrial placement offers a year-long opportunity to work as a Materials Scientist within the Global Respiratory Group, contributing to the development of inhalation medicines such as dry powder inhalers, metered-dose inhalers, and nebulised products.
What you’ll do
- Conduct laboratory work on respiratory medicine formulations and delivery systems
- Support the development and optimisation of inhalation drug products
- Contribute to materials characterisation and testing within the respiratory portfolio
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on pharmaceutical research and development
- Document findings and assist with technical reporting
Eligibility
- Undergraduate student or recent graduate in materials science, chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or related discipline
- Ability to commit to a 12-month sandwich placement
- Interest in pharmaceutical development and respiratory medicine
- Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail
