Portsmouth City Council's Property & Investment team is an award-winning unit responsible for managing a £1 billion+ portfolio of diverse assets across the UK. The team oversees commercial offices, industrial sites, retail locations, a port facility and leisure amenities, with a focus on cost-effective stewardship and strong tenant relationships. You'll join a mixed team of graduates and experienced professionals, contributing to property management across this substantial and varied estate.
What you’ll do
- Manage and support management of council-owned property assets including office, industrial, retail and leisure facilities
- Maintain relationships with tenants and oversee lease arrangements
- Contribute to cost-effective operation of the multi-site property portfolio
- Assist experienced colleagues with day-to-day property administration and oversight
- Support the team in delivering the council's property investment strategy
Eligibility
- Graduate or equivalent professional experience in property management, surveying or related field
- Interest in working within the public sector and local government context
- Ability to work as part of a growing team with both new and established professionals
- Organisational and communication skills to manage multiple properties and stakeholder relationships
