Helix Law is a specialist litigation and dispute-resolution firm that trains every solicitor in-house rather than following a conventional seat-rotation model. This training contract, starting September 2026, is built for a commercially minded, entrepreneurial trainee who wants early responsibility and exposure to high-value specialist work from day one — not a passive, box-ticking programme. If you want a traditional training contract this probably isn’t the right fit; if you want to be trained to think differently and grow with the firm, it’s an exceptional opportunity.
What you’ll do
- Assist on complex, specialist legal matters under close supervision
- Build technical expertise across the firm’s core areas — commercial, property, construction and employment disputes
- Work directly with clients and contribute to relationship management
- Support fee-earning work and develop an understanding of value creation
- Engage with business development, innovation and process improvement
Eligibility
- Completed or completing the SQE
- Strong academic credentials
- Commercially minded and interested in how law firms grow
- Ambitious, self-motivated and keen to progress quickly
- Looking for a long-term career at the firm, not to “train and move on”
